Visit of Professor Jernej Iskra at BioCIS
The BioCIS laboratory welcomed Professor Jernej ISKRA (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia) on Friday May 13, 2022
We welcomed Professor ISKRA from the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) to CY Cergy Paris University.
He presented us with a remarkable selection of the results of his research in the field of the valorization of biomass as an alternative to fossil sources for the production of molecules of interest.
This visit is part of a long-term collaboration between Professor ISKRA's group and the BioCIS laboratory, thanks to the support of the EUTOPIA alliance, around the synthesis of new fluorinated molecules.
This visit was also an opportunity to discuss joint projects, in particular within the thesis of Jure Gregorc, 2nd year doctoral student in joint supervision between the University of Ljubljana and CY Cergy Paris University, and funded by the EUTOPIA alliance.
